Symbol with elements to describe sustainability
Symbol for 2019

The Microsystem Festival has been organized for 16 years and the theme for this year is "SustainAbility". The focus is on the issues: How do we create sustainable change?
How do we prepare for long-term sustainability and what needs to be changed and what needs to continue in the same way? Since the first year of 2004, the festival has grown into a unique meeting place for those who want to develop and improve health and social care.

Microsystem thinking is spreading across the world, with 150-200 representatives from up to 13 different countries attending the Microsystems Festival annually.

What does the concept of microsystem mean?

A microsystem is a small group of interdisciplinary healthcare staff who work together with the patient in a particular clinical setting. The microsystem approach differs from team-based development in that the patient, the information and information systems, the organisation's goals and results are considered as parts of the microsystem.
Knowledge of micro systems has proved to be a key to, among other things, improved accessibility and increased workforce. It has also focused on local leadership close to the patient.
